These technical faqs answer some of the questions we're most often asked about the specifying and installation of Underfloor Heating.
Should this not be possible' then an allowance will have to be made for additional pipe tails at a further cost.
It is always better to bring two pipes from the heat source to the manifold, than anything up to 24 from a poorly positioned manifold to the areas requiring the heat.
From a technical point, other than a central position for the manifold is classed as a poor design.

The concept of underfloor heating is not a modern idea.
It has actually been with us for over 2000 years.
As the Roman legions moved north, they found a growing need to generate warmth inside their public and private buildings.
Their system, based on the greek 'Hypocaust', which roughly translates as 'heat from below' allowed hot air to flow beneath a building's floors, which were raised up on brick columns.
Whilst the technology has greatly advanced since Roman times, the basic idea remains the same.

Underfloor Heating requires only low temperature warm water.
When used in conjunction with an anhydrite flowing screed, the Flowmax underfloor heating system will be more responsive than any other underfloor heating system on the market.
We do this by installing a 20mm PE-Xa pipe which is a larger diameter pipe than most commonly used.
The larger surface area of the pipe gives a greater rate of heat transfer.
The larger pipe has less resistence to water flow, making the return water temperature closer to the flow water temperature achieving a higher mean water temperature across each circuit, enabling increased energy into the floor resulting in a quicker heat-up time.
