Let me introduce myself and my company and how I got started.
I was born and have lived in Grimsby all my life and as a school leaver decided that I would pursue a career in the Gas Industry.
On leaving school in 1981 I became an apprentice Gas Engineer with British Gas.
When my apprenticeship was successfully completed I built a career with British Gas and Transco that spanned over 20 years and enabled me to gain the best training, considerable knowledge and experience in my chosen field.
This culminated in the forming of my own company which has grown from strength to strength over the years and has enabled me to attain a considerable client base built on reliability and good service.

The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 deal with landlords' duties to make sure gas appliances, fittings and flues provided for tenants are safe.
You are responsible for the maintenance and repair of flues, appliances and pipework which you own and have provided for your tenants use by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
Although there is no prescribed timeframe for these duties, good practice would be the demonstration of regular, annual maintenance checks and subsequent repairs.
