Discover an efficient, cost-effective alternative for your heating and hot water. We can supply and install all of your renewable system needs from Air Source or Ground Source Heat Pumps to Rain Water Harvesting and Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery. A highly efficient way of providing hot water and heating for your home using energy from the ground.

Panels fitted on the roof of your property easily provide you with hot water during summer and winter months. A great way to balance the atmosphere and achieve a comfortable temperature though out your home. We specialise in supplying and installing under floor heating systems-accredited and qualified to BPEC standard. Reduce water costs whilst saving the environment with recycled rainwater suitable for toilets and washing machines.

Ensure that your renewable system and equipment is working efficiently with regular check-ups and preventative maintenance. British Geological Surveys and Heat Loss Calculations- an essential aspect of your design and installation.

Groundtherm covers all aspects from design to supply, and the installation for your project.
We are happy to work closely with yourself and other contractors associated with your project to help get the best results for your project.
GroundTherm is a long standing family run business.
We have operated in the Renewables Heating sector for the last 15 years.

This is one of our installations which is a MasterTherm 7-22kW ground source heat pump (GSHP) with a 400L hot water cylinder and a 300L Buffer heating vessel.
The heat pump technology is inverter driven which means the output of the heat pump is variable based on demand from 7 to 22kW.
This is another system with a 12kW NIBE ground source heat pump (GSHP) on boreholes with a 400L hot water cylinder and a 300L Buffer heating vessel.
This project had a small plant room due to the width restriction we designed a taller cylinder and buffer.
This is a calculation carried out using conductivity based on thermal geology.
We need to know and understand the thermal geology of the earth beneath and surrounding your property in order to put together a system that is going to work efficiently for you.
The BGS gives us a clear indication of the geology, the fabric of what's actually in the ground.
Using this alongside the Heat Loss Calculation, we're then able to conclude exactly what is required to ensure that your system will work effectively for you.
Ground Source Heat Pumps extract warmth from the ground (also known as geothermal energy) to heat a property and provide hot water.
In the long term this highly efficient, low maintenance system saves money and reduces your overall impact on the environment.
With our constant search for further scarce sources of fossil fuels more clients come to us wanting peace of mind that self-sufficiency brings, whilst simultaneously wishing to reduce their carbon footprint and have greater responsibility for the lasting effect they leave on the earth.
Air Source Heat Pumps work in exactly the same way as their Ground Source counterparts - the only difference being that the source of the heat comes from the air around the system and not from pipes deep underground.
They are cost-effective and easy to fit providing a renewable, clean source of heat all year round and significant reduction in carbon emissions.
These systems also work well with underfloor heating in addition to traditional radiator systems.
Air Source Heat Pumps offer an advantage over ground source heat pumps for domestic installation because they require less space to install.
