In 1977 John Surbey and Pat Corbett founded Cambridge Discount Heating and Plumbing, supplying heating and plumbing materials to both trade and retail customers.
Having built up the business they moved premises to a separate address on Mill Road, and in 1979 began the installations and electrical sides of the business.
When John and Pat retired in 2002, Ron Woolner and John Markham acquired the installations side of the business as Cambridge Discounts Installations.

At Cambridge Plumbing and Heating Installations we offer a professional bathroom design and installation service, and always create an individual package to suit each customer's needs including all the plumbing, electrical, carpentry, tiling required.
First our bathroom designers will make an appointment to visit your property to conduct a bathroom design survey.
Our on-site survey includes taking measurements of the room, advice on how to make the best use of the space available, and ensuring that your existing bathroom plumbing is compatible with what you have planned.

Our Gas Safe registered engineers specialise in the supply and fitting of gas and oil-fired boilers from Vaillant, Glow-worm, Vokera, Worcester Bosch, Grant and Wallstar, and we can supply and fit boilers from most other manufacturers.

All of your gas appliances, including your gas boiler, gas cooker and gas fire, should be gas safety checked once a year and serviced regularly.
Not getting your gas appliances regularly checked could put you and your family at risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.
Once we have carried out a gas safety check or installed a new gas appliance we will issue you with a gas safety record or gas safety certificate.

Power flushing, also known as jet flushing or hard flushing, is the the most effective way to clean a central heating system, and involves circulating a chemical mixed with water around the pipework, radiators and boiler to remove debris and limescale.
Over a period of time sludge builds up in your central heating system, no matter what fuel source you use.
